Meet the team
As Managing Partner of Danziger Kosher Midwest, Sam brings 25 years of experience to Danziger. As Founder of Eved Services, he built a company that became corporate America’s choice for event planning services. Sam’s deep relationships with the hotel industry and business savvy has helped Danziger Kosher Midwest climb to new heights. Sam focuses on Danziger partnerships and venues, finding new opportunities around the Midwest to offer kosher food. Sam has a vision to bring the excellence of kosher catering by exceeding the expectations of every client Danziger services.
Kathy Ramos Kurland
Director of Catering Special Events
Everyone in Chicago knows and loves Kathy. As one of our Catering Directors, Kathy will hold your hand through the entire event to ensure it is executed to perfection. With over 15 years of working on our team and another 12 of catering experience with several companies, Kathy brings an abundance of talent and experience. She has worked at the Hilton Chicago, Northbrook Hilton, Palmer House and was Director of Catering at the Standard Club. She graduated from Chicago State University.
Merry Jean Nano-Lee
Director of Catering Special Events
If Merry Jean is running your event, you can truly be a guest. As one of our Catering Directors, Merry Jean works closely with our clients to bring their vision to reality. Merry Jean is loved by her clients for her attention to detail, patience and reliability. Merry Jean is a veteran in the Catering Hospitality world. Merry Jean has worked with our team for over 12 years, prior she worked with the Historic Hilton Chicago and the Palmer House Hilton for a 13 year period. Merry Jean has executed some of the largest events in Chicago and continues to bring her passion and elite experience to our team. Merry Jean graduated with a bachelor’s degree of Business Management from Robert Morris university.
Director of Finance
Avi is our Director of Finance supporting the company in all aspects of financial and administration. Prior to joining Danziger, Avi worked in finance for other small companies, including serving as the Chief Financial Officer of a start-up. Avi has a Finance degree from Touro College, where he graduated Sum Cum Laude.
Director of Retail and Concession
Donny is our Director of Retail and Concession supporting the company in all aspects of development by strategizing and executing customer value propositions. Donny Identifies new business opportunities and redesigns conventional methods to support future operating models. He coordinates with hotels to bring kosher meals to their clients and runs Danziger’s concession department.
Originally from Michoacan, Mexico, Guillermo started with Hilton and Hyatt Hotels in 1980 and attended their culinary programs. In 1985 he began working for Danziger Kosher Catering and has been the Executive Chef ever since. He has prepared our Passover program for over 1,200 people every year since 1986 and Kabbalah’s Rosh Hashanah program for 2,400 people since 2014. Over the years, Guillermo has brought his culinary expereience to the highest level, showing his dedication to international cuisine, including exquisite presentations and delectable flavor.
